Personal lives within a commemorative war history
Legacy of Heroes, also presented as Chronicles of Three Wars, is an Armenian series built around individual participants in the Artsakh wars. Its stated focus is personal experience, sacrifice and the continuation of memory. The project approaches the conflicts from a commemorative Armenian perspective, organizing the wider history around separate lives.
The opening work follows Monte Melkonian. The official Kinodaran description traces a route from California and UC Berkeley through the Lebanese Civil War and imprisonment in France to Artsakh. This biographical structure connects places and experiences outside the region with the later period for which he is remembered.
Biography with documentary and dramatic elements
Kinodaran labels the Monte entry as documentary, war and drama, and lists actors alongside the creative team. Isaak Alexandre Karslian directs and shares writing credits with Eleonora Sargsyan, with Eduard Vartanyan producing. The 56-minute platform entry describes this particular work rather than establishing the length of every chapter in the larger series.
The Yerevan National team announced production in August 2025, with Monte as the first subject. The programme catalogue also names Karo Kahkejian as a later chapter. The series’ connecting subject is how individual wartime lives are remembered, with the first entry giving that wider intention a specific biographical form.
