Ancient Greece investigated through excavation
Lost Treasures Of Ancient Greece follows international archaeological teams working at places connected with the ancient Greek world. The series ranges from the Parthenon in Athens to sites associated with the Trojan War and Alexander the Great. Its emphasis is current excavation and investigation, using physical remains to approach familiar histories and legends.
The six-part guide begins with Secret World of the Minotaur and Secrets of the Acropolis. One chapter explores evidence associated with a legendary creature; the other considers the Parthenon and ancient Athens. Together they establish the programme’s movement between stories passed down through time and places that can still be examined.
