The Bodies on the Bridge

A Bristol discovery leads back to West London

The Bodies on the Bridge revisits the 2024 killings of Albert Alfonso and Paul Letchworth. Two suitcases found on Bristol's Clifton Suspension Bridge lead investigators back to a double murder in West London. The two-part documentary follows both the search for the person responsible and the account tested in court.

The first chapter is titled The Manhunt, reflecting the investigation prompted by the bridge discovery. Its story concerns the attempt to dispose of the victims' remains and the links that connect that location with events in another city. The geographical separation between the discovery and the killings is central to the case's unfolding.

Conflicting accounts of power and coercion

The Trial turns to the proceedings concerning Yostin Mosquera. The programme description foregrounds a hidden relationship, secrecy and power, including the accused's claim that he was subjected to coercion. That claim is part of the competing account examined in the documentary, rather than an explanation the viewer is asked to accept without question.

By pairing a manhunt with a trial, the series distinguishes locating a suspect from establishing responsibility. Its focus expands from the shocking circumstances of discovery to the relationships behind the violence and the challenge of evaluating an account offered by the person accused.
